Privacy Policy
Overview
Sudoku Supreme is designed with your privacy in mind. We do not collect, transmit, or sell any personal information to third parties. All data is stored locally on your device and optionally synced to your personal iCloud account.
Data We Store
The app stores the following data solely to provide core functionality: • Your games: the puzzle, your numbers and pencil marks, misses, time, hints used, and a log of your moves (used for the game review) • Completed puzzle records (level, time, misses, score) and wins per level • Technique stats (how quickly you spot each solving technique) • App preferences (palette, keypad side, hint setting) This data stays on your device and in your personal iCloud account. We have no access to it.
Camera
The Scan Puzzle feature uses your device camera solely to photograph a Sudoku puzzle for recognition. Photos are processed entirely on-device using Apple's Vision framework. No images are stored, transmitted, or shared.
iCloud Sync
If you are signed into iCloud, your games, history, and stats sync across your devices using Apple's iCloud services (iCloud Key-Value Storage and your private CloudKit database). No sign-in to us is needed or possible. This data lives in your personal iCloud account, is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy (apple.com/privacy), and is not visible to us. If you are not signed into iCloud, everything stays on your device.
Playing with Friends
Shared games use iCloud sharing: the game lives in its creator's iCloud, and the people they invite can see the puzzle, everyone's moves, misses and times, and the name you set in Settings. Leaving or deleting a shared game removes it. Live games use Apple's SharePlay (in FaceTime or Messages) or Game Center: the moves you make, the square you've selected and your progress are sent to the other players through Apple, and Game Center shows them your Game Center name. Nothing goes to us, and nothing from a live game is kept once it ends.
Challenge Links
When you challenge someone, the link you send holds the puzzle, your time, misses and score, and the name you set in Settings (if any). Anyone you send it to can see those. Opening the link without the app shows a page on anjward.github.io, hosted by GitHub; that page stores nothing, though GitHub may keep standard visit logs.
Hints with Apple Intelligence
On devices with Apple Intelligence, hint text can be reworded by Apple's on-device language model. This happens entirely on your device; nothing is sent to us or to any server.
Analytics & Tracking
We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking frameworks. The app does not track you across other apps or websites.
Children
Sudoku Supreme does not knowingly collect any data from children under 13. As no personal data is collected from any users, the app is safe for all ages.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in an updated version of the app. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
